Nice job on the composition... perfect camera height. If this were my shot, I can assure you that i would have walked away with a crappy version where the docks would have crossed the line into the background landscape, and not so beautifully centered, like you did. great work Dave. -- "One should strive to achieve; not sit in bitter regret" ~VNV Nation Click this [link] for my Portfolio. There are many long exposure sunsets out there, but there are many aspects of this photo that set it apart from the rest. Technically, you've stuck to a low ISO to keep this picture virtually noise free, and I think it worked perfectly. The use of the ND filter gave you some freedom to hold it open longer, and that gave you a nice sense of cloud movement, and ripple free water. Both enhance this picture greatly.
You've composed this scene excellently. The sky is gorgeous, so you were right to give it the amount of space you did. You kept just another of the water to show off that great reflection, and smartly included the dock. The dock is another reason this picture is unique. It gives you something to look at in the foreground, and it draws your eyes gently across the photo.
Great job!
