while in the city today i met this kind old homeless man. he bummed a smoke, we chatted for a moment, i snapped his picture. though he had nothing but a bicycle and a bag with some of his belongings, he was one of the happiest people i've ever met and you can see it in his eyes. it made me think for a moment.
A great study in the human condition, and yes, we could take some lessions from his happiness, sometimes 'less is more', reminds me of a Zen proverb "now that my house has burned to the ground, I have an unobstructed view of the stars", cheers
beautiful portrait. you should read the book "the glass castle" by jeannette walls, because this reminded me of some of the views in it. its a good read.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
