Critiques
The near black and white look of this shot works quite well for this particular photograph.
The angle feels a bit awkward, though I suspect that the wooden posts do not go on for much longer, so that may be the reasoning behind that.
Though the piece is meant to contrast the two structures, there appears to be a bit too much of a disconnect between the two. It almost looks like two photographs merged into one. The calmness of the water surrounding the Manhattan Bridge compared to the foggy look of the water surrounding the wooden posts adds to this disconnect.
Overall though, the concept and clarity of this shot are what make this photograph work.
